LOOK!! I'm upside down!!!!!

A CONVEX mirror is when the mirror is outward.
CONCAVE mirror is curved in.

Think of a spoon. Have you ever looked at yourself in a spoon? When you look at the curved out end, you see yourself streched out a bit. If you look at yourself in thr curved inward side you see your self upside down. Just a little example of a convex and concave mirror.

Video All Stars

Getting it together would help make it better
We liked the comedy/entertainment
We didn't like that we couldn't retry it

What we could have done better: Timing
What we did good: Have fun!

We liked the entertainment.
We disliked the time limit.

*We have one group whose video is not completed yet, but will be shown soon!
The man is explaining what it looks like when you mix colours, like red and green, and blue and green.

Blue, green, red, yellow, white ,purple. They are taking some colours away to make different colours. I like it they are funny.

Optics

Optics

In today’s class we started a new unit called Optics. We filled out a paper called Optics Anticipation Guide.  Then we watched a Bill Nye video. The video is just at the bottom of the page if you want to watch it. While we were watching the video we had to fill out a sheet which is also just below with the video and the Optics Anticipation Guide. The picture below is what we thought what optics was.

Defintions from bill nye

On friday we watched a bill nye video and we had to fill out a work sheet. We had to think of some words in the video that we didn't know. The three words I had were Convection, Aerodynamic Drag and Vaper.

Convection: The transfer of heat circulation or movement by heated parts of liquid or gas.

Aerodynamic Drag: The drag of a fluid that acts on any moving soild.

Vaper: A liquid or a soild that diffuses in the air.

Have A Heart
Todays class we were working on a work sheet called Have A Heart. We had to label some of the parts of the heart, such as: Left atrium, Right atrium, Left ventricle, Right ventricle, Body capillaries, Lung capillaries, Veins, Heart and the arterys.  (Sorry that the picture is on its side)

Have a Heart!(2013).created by McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltm. picture taken by myself

Can you anwser some of the questions?

1) Which side of the heart collects blood from the body and pumps it to the lungs?
2) Which chamber receives blood form the lungs?
3) Which ventricle is more muscular, the right or the left?

How things move in between cells

Today the class was separated into four group and you had to choose which topic you wanted to talk about, there was Diffusion, osmosis and permeable.

Diffusion: is when particles move in all directions and spread apart evenly.

Osmosis: the diffusion is of water through a permeable membrane is osmosis.

Permeable: is whether it lets things through.
