What would Grandi Say?

I challenge you...
  Figure out this equation using Grandi's theory!

       1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1+1..........    (p.s it goes on forever... and ever...and ever...!!)
 
(TRY THE LIGHT EXPERIMENT!!)

  1. Hmmmm.... The averaging makes me think of "expected values" in probability. So, if you stop at any particular point to check the partial sum, or if you are wondering whether the light it on or off at the end of 2 minutes, the "1/2" means that the probability of each answer is 1/2.

    Thanks for blogging my video - I think Grandi's series is very strange, but interesting!

    I was in Canada this week, but not as far north as Manitoba. Maybe some other time!
